Venice, Italy

Venice, Italy July 15- July 17

On Monday, July 15th, Daron and I flew out of Paris and into Venice.  Our hostel was easy to locate, however getting our suitcases there was not.  Lets just say, Venice is not equipped for strollers, suitcases, or anything with wheels.  Venice is beautiful, but two days was plenty of time there because it is so small.  We spent the first day getting lost in the canals, and wandering around.  The second day we took a water taxi to the island of Burano.

The ultimate tourist.

Burano is a small island, famous for lace and known for its fisherman and their brightly colored houses.  The island is full of as brightly colored houses as you could possibly paint.  The reason for this, was that fisherman would go out to fish, and then know their way back by the distinct color of their house.

Each canal was picturesque with the water, boats, and bright homes.

Next stop, Florence!
